This initiative came to reflect the sense and feeling of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi to the size of challenges facing the Arab language at this stage due to its urgent need to get out of the individual initiatives stage which is the responsibility of the benevolent sons of the nation towards the institutional hard work and ambition stage.
The initiative of establishing the Academy comes to be the first institution concerned with the issues of Arab language in the Arabian Gulf region, so that it would be helpful and supportive for the Arab academies in various countries of the Arab world. The first top priority of the academy shall be funding the issuance of historical linguistic dictionary and everything related thereto.
