His Highness inaugurates Al Wusta channel from Al Dhaid

Sultan reveals a package of development projects in central region

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated, on Monday, Al Wusta Channel Building from Al Dhaid.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, His Highness affirmed that Al Wusta channel from Al Dhaid received great attention from him, and all material resources were harnessed to it to reach the prestigious position and be the finest station in the whole Middle East.

His Highness pointed out that Al Wusta channel from Al Dhaid enjoys following all categories of society, His Highness is keen to follow all the programs of the channel, and this stems from his keenness to stand on its purposeful media message and achieve its vision in preserving customs and traditions from extinction or being affected by rapid technological development in various fields life and social media.

His Highness thanked all employees and guests of Al Wusta TV programs for their efforts and endeavors to preserve the ancestral traditions, customs, and values of desert people.

His Highness affirmed his keenness to preserve the values and customs of society, and that every tribe or society has customs that distinguish them from others, calling on members of society to highlight these authentic customs and values and be proud of them.

The Ruler of Sharjah also stressed that the central region is characterised by its environmental wealth and its innate and biological diversity, and that the environmental efforts of Sharjah contributed to preserving environmental diversity, wildlife and protecting animals from the danger of extinction, indicating that the Sharjah Seed Bank and Herbarium in Al Dhaid preserves 7 million seeds for different desert plants were also preserved in the United Kingdom if the seeds were damaged.

His Highness revealed a package of development projects that will radically change the central region in various fields, including the "Pardi" Safari Park project at a cost of one billion dirhams, and it will open its doors for visitors next year, also the protected agriculture project will provide 1750 tons of clean and healthy vegetables and will be built on an area of 70 thousand Square meters, in addition to a dairy project that will serve a large segment of the community.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi announced the establishment of the Academy of Sciences project in the central region, and it includes several specialisations in the fields of agriculture, veterinary science, and desert sciences that are concerned with preserving the desert and its components of sand, plants and wildlife, and will be completed next year.
