This word literally means “four legs” and is commonly used to refer to a stool or small bench with four legs. • Daricheh: A distorted pronunciation of the Farsi word “dar-e kuchak,” meaning small door. In our house, we had many servants: men, women, and boys. Among the boys were Saeed al-Dābit and Saeed al-Aswad. There was also a boy named Ibrahim, nicknamed Barhoom Sahn al-Hôtel, to distinguish him from another boy named Ibrahim. I have no recollection of this
