Eventually, the fortress surrendered at the moment when it seemed that there was no hope of survival for those inside especially after the fortresses was severely damaged with the water tanks hit by three mines. The Persians also seized all their wealth. As for the Christian captives, they were seized by the British who took all their properties and capitals.
