The council of ministers on 3rd May 1609 addressed their decision to the king and stated: In order to dispel all doubts, Your Majesty needs to endorse our agreement that ten High Court judges review the trial. They have to issue their rule on a Friday when the Viceroy goes to the High Court. This has to take place in the palace and in the presence of the Viceroy. The decision of those judges must be enforced as is. Your Majesty will command what is best. The king’s decision was “Act according to what the council of ministers sees fit.” The trial was then revisited by ten other judges from the High Court convened in the royal palace. Their decision annulled the verdict against Prince Turan Shah and exonerated him of all guilt and cleared his name, and that his children be cleared of all shame that may been attached to them. On 4th January 1610, a royal edict by king Dom Felipe stated the following:
