The Biography of the Sultans of Kilwa

100 At the time, Muhammad Makāt ibn Muhammad Kawāb ibn Muhammad alMażlūm ibn Sulaimān ibn the Just King, seized power and became the Sultan of Kilwa. When Emir Ibrāhīm was released, he returned to Kilwa and asked King Muhammad Makāt to appoint his brother Sa'eed ibn Sulaimān ibn Muhammad al-Mażlūm. Owing to the difculty in dealing with King Muhammad Makāt, his stubbornness, intolerance, and disagreement with all, his family had no choice but to remove him from power. In his place as the King of Kilwa, they appointed the just King, Sultan Muhammad ibn Sultan Hussain ibn Sultan Sulaimān ibn the Just King. Sultan Muhammad was also called, New Rain.
