_ 130 _ In the same year (1552) Father Lodewijk Freus sent a letter to the fathers and brothers in the Jesuit Society in Portugal, on the 1st of December 1552, in which he spoke about Christianization in Ormuz and the conditions in Muscat after the occupation:(12) According to general consensus and what each one of us feels about him, Father Superior Francisco is so outstanding in virtue, so considerate in his actions, and has such a great desire that the service, glory and honour of God should be increased by this Society through the invoking of His holy name, that there is nothing we can arrange or determine for its expansion and preservation, which has not first been revealed to him by divine providence and, above all, greatly reflected on in his heart.
