_ 250 _ 251 1/4 Ormuz meticals(A). I say Ormuz meticals because there are others known as Shiraz meticals. These are one sixth larger. These 10 mãos, 19 quíazes, contained in a faraçola, are without a picotá. This amounts to 3 quiazes, 6 1/4 meticals in each faraçola. A bahar contains 3 quintals, 2 arrobas, 9 1/2 arratels, 2 eighths. The faraçola works out at 22 arratels, 14 ounces. The mão works out at 2 arratels, 1 1/2 ounces, without a pícotá. This amounts to 3% meticals in every mão. The quíaz is just 11 meticals. Of Mace: The bahar of mace is essentially the same as that of cloves, with no difference whatsoever. So, what has been stated above suffices. Fol. 3v Of Walnuts: The bahar of walnuts has 20 faraçolas, plus 5 extra mãos. Thus, the bahar has 20 1/2 faraçolas, including the picotá. The faraçola has 11 mãos, one quiaz, including its pícotá. The bahar has 3 quintals, 2 arrobas, 13 1/2 arratels, 3 1/4 ounces, 3 1/4 Ormuz meticals. The faraçola works out at 23 arratels, one ounce, 2 3/4 meticals, with its picotá. There are 2 arratels, 1½ ounces, 3 1/4 meticals in a mão. (A) Written in the margin in the same handwriting: "60 Ormuz meticals equal one mark".
