Of Opium: Opum is weighed in mãos of tare and each mão has 4 quiazes as a pícotá. One mão has 24 quiazes and with a pícotá it comes to 28 quiazes. With a pícotá the mão has 4 marks, 53 1/8 Ormuz meticals. The Aden mão is worth 6 azars. That of Cambay 4 ½ azars. That from Persia 5 azars. The Cambay mão is better of Malacca and the Malabar coast. Of Carved Coral: Carved coral is bought by Ormuz meticals. There are 2½ meticals of pícotá in every 10 meticals. Thus, in every 10 meticals there are 2½ extra. Of Seed Pearl: Speed pearl is sold by Shiraz meticals. It has no pícotá whatsoever. Our mark has exactly 50 meticals. Fol. 9 Of Loose Silk: Loose silk is weighed in Ormuz meticals. It has no pícotá.
