Gaspar Pires, who was clerk of the said customs house, and Garcia de la Penha the interpreter of the said Kingdom, also helped in this with their certificates. However, it seemed to me that the revenues were a lot more, and there were many receipts for goods that I was assured the Kings of Ormuz made at that time in respect of which the said Khwaja Maladin did not hand over the corresponding revenues. I was informed that formerly this customs house used to produce a lot more than the revenues quoted above, than what they produce now.
