The Pope has declared to the bishops here present that he wants them to go and reside in their sees and that he wishes them to go away pleased and contented, and so they should consult with him about what they should do. The matter of the friars who sought release from their vows he passed on to some cardinals, who agreed in congregation that henceforward no one is to be released from their vows and that the bishops should see whether those who had already been released were as stated in their petitions, and if so the bulls would apply to them; and those whom they did not find to be legitimately released should return to their orders, and if their superiors did not want to receive them back they could remain in other more liberal orders.
