(When the people and the captain found him with this directive and authorization, they said it was a scandal for that country to remain abandoned by the Fathers of the Society, and because of this they detained him and wrote to Goa about the matter.) It happened that Father believed that a sister of the King of Ormuz was intent on becoming a Christian. The Father purposely entered the house of the King’s mother with the authority and a mandate from the captain and took her away. The young girl changed her mind while (A) He left in 1557 (Documenta Indica Vol. III 703). (B) He was in Ormuz from 1558. He died in 1559 (Cf Documenta Indica Vol. IV 520, 730).
