_ 97 _ In the same year (1552) Letters came from Dom Alvaro de Noronha, Reis Nur al-Din and Sebastiao Lopez to the Viceroy of India, on the 30th or 31st of October 1552, all of which mentioned that the Turkish fleet occupied Muscat, and included news about the Turkish presence in the region:(9) Senhor, On the twenty second of this month of October there arrived to this city, and fortress, Fernão Farto, and gave me the letter of Your Highness, I mean, Your Worship and the news he learnt at Bacaim of the ship which had come there from Moçambique.
