From there it flows to the ancient city of Antioch to the north at thirty-five-and-a-third degrees, called Antiochia by the Turks; and here the river enters the sea, although others appeared to be telling me the truth when they said that this was not the river of Antioch, for there is another from Antioch along the sea-coast. Three days’ journey to the north lies the city of Adana, peopled by Armenians and Turks, and two days’ journey from there is another city called Misis, where the court of the kings of Lower Armenia formerly was. Through it flows a river which falls into the sea at Adana. On the coast of this sea in the direction of Tripoli is the city of [Ramaka]. Two leagues across country and to the south of Tripoli is a port in Judaea called Jaffa, where pilgrims bound for Jerusalem disembark. It lies at thirty-two-and-a-half degrees, a day’s joumey from Jerusalem. Item: Returning to the subject of our journey, we left Hamah on 13th of the same month and travelled through two large places in those plains, inhabited by Christians and called [Barkon]and [Afion]. We put up at a small place peopled by Arabs and called [Teldebe], “mountain of gold” because there is a mountain nearby and it bears this name
