The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman

_ 188 _ In the same year (1565) Father Antonio de Quadro, Jesuit Society, Bishop of the diocese, sent a letter to the General President of the Jesuit Society in Rome, Malaca, on the 20th of November 1565, stating that those Portuguese priests who went to Ormuz had died, as it was a spiritually and physically harmful cemetery:(18) I do not write with detailed information from the other parts of India in which the Society has residents, both because I am far away and because you will know it already from individual letters from them, and also because there has been little change there this year.
