_ 420 _ not put into practice, the Council charges the temporal judges faithfully to enforce the law the Viceroy has made at the command of His Highness, that no Jew should live in our lands nor go to them; and it requests His Highness to confirm this law and order all jews to be thrown out of Ormuz. Decree 30 The Council wishes to avoid the scandal that results from the infidels in certain of our lands to have one day set aside every week for the observance of their false religions. It requests His Highness to command that such days are not to be observed, and to settle that in the Customs House of Ormuz business should be done on Fridays, which is not to be held as a feast-day for Moors. Some Moors are officials there and because they are absent the Christian officials do not do business, which makes it appears that in some way they are acquiescing in the observance of this feast-day.
