_ 477 _ the affairs of Ormuz. But he did and does the opposite by supporting these Nodhaki and encourages them to go and rob in the Strait of Ormuz, and has a part in their spoils. He has been warned about this and has done nothing about it, and it is therefore not reasonable that he should receive this mocarraria nor any share in the three additions of Shah Tahmasp. The King of Rishahr and the King of Makran together received ninety-three leques three azars in all. It was agreed by all the officials that they should not have them, and so I direct and order that they are not to continue to receive them nor should they be given them from 9 February 1568 onwards. So now of the said mocarrarias only one hundred and twelve leques per year are now to be paid from the revenues of the customs house, as they come in, to be divided among the other neighbouring Kings and rulers and their ambassadors as before. These one hundred and twelve leques will be given from the revenues to the guazil of the kingdom of Ormuz each year from 19 February onwards for him to make the payments as he has always done. For this he will be given an additional duty by written document in which he undertakes to make these payments, stating the kings, rulers and persons to whom he has to make them and what each one is to have, on the
