_ 71 _ In the same year (1564) Father Vicente Tonda sent a letter to Father Diego Leonis, the General Superior of the Society of Jesus in Rome, Ormuz, on the 15th of April 1564, mentioning his situation among the Arabs in Ormuz:(14) Most Reverend Father in Christ. The peace of Christ (be with you). 1. Since the bearer of this letter is a great friend of ours and i s leaving this city and kingdom of Ormuz on important business,(A) I shall not omit to write to Your Reverence, although I am sure that I can write nothing new which you will not already know from the general letters coming from India.
