As for the office of urracas it is my wish, and I command the said Captains and other officials that they are not to take or receive these in any manner or way which may be proposed even if the said King may wish to give of his own free will nor the marsungos of legates with which he may pay from the guazilados. I hereby notify my Commander and the Governor of the parts of India, the Chief Officers of my Treasury, Captains, the factors and officials of the said fortress and city of Ormuz and persons to whom this may be shown and whom it may concern, and I command them that they obey what it contains and that they cause it to be obeyed and adhered to entirely, without any kind of doubt or obstacle being attached to it, for this is my award, and to confirm it. I have ordered the issue of this decree, signed by me and sealed with my seal attached and sent through my Chancellery. I order that it be recorded in the factory of the said city of Ormuz so that it will always be known that I have thus commanded in the city of Evora on 14 March in the year of Our Lord Jesus 1545.
