_ 192 _ Knowing that the King Persia is now asking Your Majesty and the Pope for ministers of the holy gospel, it seemed to me that because I set up that convent it was my obligation to ask Your Majesty, as I do now, to grant me the favour making use in this enterprise of friars of this house, which lies at the very door of Persia, and of other friars of the same Order who are in the region of India, because many of them live there already.
