_ 201 _ Episodes of the year 1584 Jose Wiki, the Society of Jesus Christ, wrote about Mathias de Albuquerque, the sixteenth Viceroy of India, in 1584, mentioning what was written about the captaincy of Ormuz:(37) According to the Goan historian M. J. Gabriel del Saldanha, Matias de Albuquerque, 16th Viceroy of India (1591-1597), was an energetic man of high worth, one of the last of the great Portuguese of sixteenth-century India(A).
