_ 591 _ In the same year (1592) A decision was made by the Supreme Court, regarding the preparation of residence reports regarding the captains of the voyages, Goa, on the 8th of April 1592, and there was no information about the situation regarding the wars with the Turks, and the sending of an ambassador to the Shah of Persia:(88) It was resolved at a meeting of the High Court, in the presence of the Viceroy, that because some captains appointed by His Majesty to the voyages usually made in this State, on entering and serving in their commands, commit offences which constitute great disservice to His Majesty and often to the prejudice of his subjects and the common good of the State, residence reports should be made on completion of their service according to the (88) Document no. and reference.
