(page no. 381) Document No. (61) A letter was issued from Belchior Calasa, Captain of Muscat, to the King, Muscat, on the 23rd of May 1588, describing the Muscat Fort to the King. (page no. 384) Document No. (62) A letter was issued from João Gomes da Silva, Captain of Ormuz, to King, Ormuz, on the 11th of July 1588, describing to the king, the Muscat Fort. (page no. 388) Document No. (63) A letter was issued from Francisco Bays, the auditor of India, to the King, Goa, on the 10th of November 1588, requesting the king to allow building of fifty ships for defense, so that the Turks would come to India. (page no. 392) Document No. (64) A general report was issued from the Governor, Manuel de Susa Coutinho, to the King, Goa, on the 10th of November 1588, stating that the Muscat Fort was of importance.
