(page no. 398) Document No. (66) A general letter was issued from the Governor, Manuel de Susa to the King, Goa, on the 18th of December 1588, in which he mentioned that Muscat and Ormuz were fortified. (page no. 411) Document No. (67) A letter was issued from Pedro Corseiro to the King, Cochin, on the 8th of January 1589, in which he mentioned the search for six galley ships and two jalbot ships belonging to the Turks. (page no. 415) Document No. (68) A letter was issued from the Secretary of State, Duarte Delgado de Varegao to the King, Goa on the 10th of January 1589, in which he mentioned that the Turkish ships, which are the galley ships, had left the Red Sea, and were equipped to attack the Portuguese ships coming from Ormuz. (page no. 437) Document No. (69) A letter was issued from the king to the viceroy, Dom Duarte de Meneses, Lisbon, on the 15th of February 1589, mentioning the conditions of Bahrain. (page no. 447)
