Lobato:(6) The communication I have the honour to present concerns two previously unknown fragments of the Standing Orders drawn up for the voyage to India of PedroÁlvares Cabral in 1500. On an ordinary occasion they would be merely two more documents, two new links in the solid chain of sources which surface every day for historians, and it was for such I took them, naturally, when I came across them in 1950 among the Fragmentos of the Corpo Cronológico in the Torre do Tombo, one in Maço 19, the other in Maço 24.
