Two copies of a charter were made from these clauses and from others contained in the documents. They were written out on paper in gold and blue letters, one in Persian for Afonso de Albuquerque and the other in Arabic to send to Kind Emanuel. The latter was engraved on a gold plate the size of a sheet of paper, with gold pins attached. Both copies were signed by the King Khwaja Attar and Rais Norodin, the guazil and three hanging seals were attached to each by gold chains. The seal in the middle, which was of gold, was that of the King. That on the right was of the famous city of Ormuz, and that on the left of Khwaja Attar, these two being of silver. Both were handed over to Afonso de Albuquerque, and each put in a silver box, together with a copy in Portuguese written by Joao Estam, the clerk of the fleet, with all the clauses and necessary points confirming the peace which had been made.
