_ 74 _ that the Portuguese were brothers of the devil who rejoiced I affliction and labour. So that they would not be seen the Moors spent the night collecting the dead from the shore and returning to their ships with almadias to save what they could; but they were heard from our ships, and the Captains sent out their skiffs with the ship-masters and mates and their sailors who chased after the almadias all night, and captured much booty and captured and killed many Moors, yelling insults and shouting wherever they went so as to frighten the Moors from putting out to sea.
