_ 235 _ In the same year (1508) Correspondence took place between Afonso de Albuquerque and Khwaja Attar, as well as with the Viceroy of India, to prove the actions carried out by Afonso de Albuquerque, this comes from the following letters. Afonso de Albuquerque sent a letter to Khwaja Attar, in 1508:(17) The necessity for the payment of the 15,000 xerafins as decided earlier. Albuquerque’s disbelief that the letters sent by Khwaja Atar were from the Viceroy, as “they do not have his signature.” These quotations are taken from the first, 1557, edition of the Comentarios de Afonso de Albuquerque.
