The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman

_ 60 _ the whole fleet set sail, rounding the island to join the Rey Grande coming from the other side. The next day they sighted the Rey Grande, which was keeping just within sight, and they followed her until the ship hove to and waited. Then all together, with hard work at the pumps of the two ships, they arrived safely at Anjidiv. They were there for a day, giving a mooring to Francisco de Tavora who had let his go in the storm, and the next day they sailed for Cannanore. On the way Francisco de Tavora sprung a leak and had to go about to deal with it, and he was lost sight of, but he arrived at Cannanore three days later. In Cannanore they found the Viceroy and his fleet, which was going in search of Mamluks. They had been at sea for two years and eight months. And they gave thanks to Our Lord, and handed over the fleet to the Viceroy, as I shall tell in due course.
