The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman

I order the factor and officials of this city that in his capacity of factor they are to hand over to him the King’s goods he is to take, without hesitation or equivocation being raised. He will then take it and deliver it to the factor there, to be sold in the King’s best interest. This was written in Goa on 22 January 1520. The money raised by these goods will be use for the purchase of horses in the presence of Paris Corvinel, and he will bring them to this city. What is left over from this transaction will remain in the Treasury account, and he will bring it himself to be taken over here. Writ by which Paris Corvinel was made Captain and factor of the ship “S. Maria do Monte” by the King, on 22 January 1520.
