_ 429 _ Document No. (25): While the events were taking place in Ormuz, there was support for the King of Ormuz by the Sheikh of Qalhat, and assistance in killing the Portuguese at the trading station, while the Sheikh of Muscat refused to join the King of Ormuz and opposed the representatives of the King of Ormuz in Muscat. (page no. 251) Document No. (26): A written copy of both the agreement and the contract concluded by the Governor Duarte de Meneses with the King of Ormuz Muhammad Shah, and with his minister, Rais Sharaf, and the princes in Madina, on the 15th of July 1523. (page no. 271) Document No. (27): Balthasar Peso, the Portuguese Ambassador to Sheikh Ismail, sent a letter to Dom Joao III, Ormuz, in August 1523. (page no. 282) Document No. (28): In that year, Rais Sharaf was arrested and thrown into prison for the second time, and the king and all the people of Ormuz returned to it. A settlement was reached by everyone, which agreed with what the governor of India, the viceroy said. Rais Sharaf was released, and granted the position of the minister, while Rais Shams al-Din and Rais Nur al-Din were expelled from Ormuz. (page no. 290)
