I order all the officials of my kingdom nothing of this firman is to be altered. Written in the month of Muharram in the year of the Hegira 948, which is 27 February 1543 A. D. Then the captain and chief treasury officer and officials of the King went to the customs house and took possessions of it, and since then it has gathered money for the Kings of Portugal. By this firman, the Kings of Portugal continued to receive the revenues of this customs house until King Ferragut Shah granted another one.
