_ 117 _ In the same year (1547) Hajji Sheikh sent a letter to the Governor in Malindi, on the 1st of September 1547, for the second time, but he did not receive a reply from the governor:(25) Sir, I Hajji Sheikh, Governor of this city of Melindi, inform Your Lordship that I have written to Your Lordship in the past, and because of the great deal of business and labour that you have there you have not been able to reply to my letter. Now I am again sending this nephew of mine to request Your Lordship to bear us in mind with favour, for without your help we cannot live in this country as we are very poor because of the many wars that are continually waged here.
