(page no. 120) Document No. (27): Domingos Barbodo sent a letter to the Governor Dom Joao de Castro, Basra, on the 7th of September 1547, and spoke about Basra that there was complete satisfaction. (page no. 123) Document No. (28): Khawaja Shams al-Din Ghulam sent a letter to Dr. João de Castro, Cannanore, on the 8th of September 1547, and it is mentioned that the Turks were in a bad condition, as many of them were killed. (page no. 137) Document No. (29): Manuel de Vasconcelos sent a letter to João de Castro, Cannanore, on the 11th of September 1547, informing him that the weapons sent from Diu had arrived in Aden, along with a quantity of ammunition.
