_ 89 _ In the same year (1547) Khawaja Qasim, the servant of Reis Sharaf, sent a letter to the Governor Dom João de Castro of Ormuz, on the 18th of July 1547, mentioning what was happening in Ormuz:(20) My Lord, Although duties pertaining to his position oblige Your Lordship's servant, Rais Sharaf to keep you informed about affairs in this land, on account of the many honours and favours which I have received from our Lord, the King, and from Your Lordship, I am also giving you information about what has been achieved there. I cannot undertake any other services because of the little power I have. Rais Sharaf has arrived in Ormuz. He was given possession of his posts immediately, both the one from (20) Document no. and reference.
