I asked for three “Our Fathers” for those who were in the above situation, so that Our Lord would touch them in those parts where they felt most. May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; and they will seek Thy name, either with their bodies(A), in their property or their material goods in order to save their souls. They became very confused and afraid about this and lodged a complaint against me. When I gave them an explanation of why I had done this, they agreed I had acted correctly. It is better to be humble in station rather than proud, maimed than sound.(B) Our Lord, whose eyes always revere the poor(C), and whose ears are attentive to their requests(D), heard our prayers, and did just as we asked.
