So in a similar manner, on 24th November 1550, Thomas Serrão in Ormuz communicated by letter to João III that the Mohammedans of the regions of Reixel, Bahrain and al-Katif had been forbidden by governors Castro and Cabral to carry on trade with the inhabitants of the City of Basra.
