The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman

Joao III, King of Spain, explaining the claim of Zaid, the Persian Muslim, from Ormuz, on the 24th of November 1550:(19) Sir, I am Licentiate Tomas Serrão, judge of this City of Ormuz, a post) Your Highness granted me as a favour. In view of the things that are happening here, I fulfil my duty by writing about some of them to Your Highness. The first of these is about how last year, in March 1550, a Moor named Zeid Maduny(A), a native of Persia, came from Chaul to this city.
