Praise be to Christ, since I now make good use of the chanting that I learned in the church to serve Christ. Thus, I make use not only of the good but also the bad. I believe that I benefit because when I recall all the hardships that happen in this world, I am ashamed of tiring of those of Christ. Furthermore, when I remember the many sins that I have committed, I have the opportunity of not growing weary of serving Christ so as to appease His anger which I have merited. It seems to me that I do nothing for what I owe Him, quia servus inutilis sum [because I am a useless servant].
