_ 234 _ In the same year (1550) Dom Antonio de Noronha arrived in Ormuz with a large fleet, and issuing orders to spy on the Turkish ships. Those events were mentioned in the book: "The Biography of Dom João III", by the historian Francisco de Andrade:(27) Dom Antonio de Noronha, who by order of his uncle, the Viceroy, had left Diu for Ormuz with a sizeable fleet, sailed with uninterrupted fine weather and arrived in that fortress at the end of November [1552], where Dom Diogo and Dom Antonio de Noronha had only been for a few days. He was received with great respect by the captain, Dom Alvaro, and with jubilation by the entire population, who were still not completely free from fear of the galleys.
