_ 343 _ Episodes of the year 1551 Father Antonio Gomez S.J. sent a letter to the priest Ignacio de Loyola in Rome, Cochin, on the 16th of January 1551, informing him about Gaspar who was working to increase the adoption of Christianity in Ormuz:(37) Because I do not know if they will presently give the letters that I wrote to Your Reverence(A) last year, I shall summarize briefly what I said in them: Master Gaspar is in Ormuz, which is an island in the Persian Gulf, five hundred leagues from this city of Goa.
