Hence with arrival of the Viceroy, and the weather breaking up as usual, other things took place out here, then making ready after loading the ship, I departed from Cochin on the eighteenth day of January of this the year fifty one, passing the Cape of Good Hope on the seventh of April, and on the twenty fourth of the same month, or the twenty fifth, I anchored at the island of Saint Helena, and here in this island of Terceira on the fourteenth of July.
