Civilizations that continuously interact with each other in various ways and with different outcomes through history. We recall that the Arab and Latino civilizations have had their own paths but crossed paths a number of times throughout history and when they did, they gave the world new visions and understanding of the human values. The arts and sciences perhaps the best example of such interactions is when Andalus was, for many centuries, the oasis of understanding and accommodation of the world’s religions. Civilizations flourished creative arts and deeps in scientific knowledge. Building on these routes, the centuries of European indictment followed with its magnificent exponential growth in all areas of the humanities. Threats and sciences with continued to shape our lives until now particularly interest to us is development in navigational sciences and the resulting sailing of Portuguese ships whole over the old and the new worlds reaching Africa, Asia and Americas. We recall that during these days, the Portuguese have been long term guests on the coastal towns in our region for about 150 years. We believe on the importance and significance of building cultural bridges between the peoples of the world.
