Another letter (no. 7/2-84/C), dated 8 February 1939, from the Political Agent, Bahrain, to the Political Agent, Sharjah, stated that the Sheikh of Sharjah was to be informed, in response to his 19 February 1939 letter, that when the R.A.F needed added utilities in Sharjah in the form of building an annex to the rest house and installing 4 wireless posts. Colonel Loch informed the Sheikh in person, and the Sheikh agreed immediately after receiving confirmation that the cost incurring from the additional construction was not to be paid back by the Sheikh and that all additional buildings became his when given up by the British Government. 3. Letter no. 130 dated 11 February 1939, from the Political Agent in Sharjah to the Sheikh of Sharjah.
