However, news reached Kong that died on 26th January, 1785 when he was only 5 days from Tehran, on his return journey to Isfahan by road. Sheikh Nasser returned to Bushehr postponing his campaign against the Utoub Arabs of Zubara and Bahrain to the following month. He then fell seriously ill and became bed-ridden. He was unable to lead the campaign he had been preparing. This was followed by war among the princes of Persia and involved all the parties who were going to participate in the attack against Zubara and Bahrain, saving the Utoubs the ills of war.(7)
