His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed to register all disabled citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah in the Social Services Department to grant them health insurance cards.

Based on the directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, health insurance cards will be granted for citizens with disabilities in the emirate as they will receive healthcare services free of charge at University Hospital of Sharjah, just like the elderly.

This direction was announced through “Direct Line” programme that is broadcasted by Sharjah TV and Radio.

In the last April, His Highness Ruler of Sharjah has approved the decision of providing health insurance to the elderly citizens of the beneficiaries of social services department, who are above 55 years, and the elderly who are above 65 years of non-beneficiaries of social services, as they will receive healthcare services free of charge at University Hospital of Sharjah.
