Initiative to establish Islamic Manuscripts House

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of Al Qasimia University, inaugurated the Islamic Manuscripts House at Al Qasimia University.

The Islamic Manuscripts House is built in an Islamic style and contains various manuscripts that date back hundreds of years. It includes manuscripts displayed in the lobby of the House, which includes the oldest manuscripts dating back to the fifth century A.H.

The manuscripts and documents presented to Al Qasimia University are the most precious and rare historical manuscripts collected by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah during his visits to various countries of the world.

The House was designed according to the best international specifications in areas of document preservation and restoration, archiving, and classification. The two-storey House of Manuscripts, built on an area of 2,800 square metres, contains a lot of services and technical facilities.
