Ministry of Presidential Affairs, UAE leaders mourn the death of Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi

Mohammed bin Rashid, Mohamed bin Zayed, Rulers and Sheikhs offer condolences to Sultan

The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has mourned the death of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who passed away on Thursday.

In a statement, the Ministry prayed to God to rest the soul of the deceased in peace and grant his family patience and solace to bear their loss.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, led tributes online and offered his condolences to the Sharjah Ruler.

"Our condolences to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and the people of the UAE on the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi. May God rest his soul," he said on Twitter.

Sheikh Mohammed prayed for the family to be granted patience and solace. "We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return," he said.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, also paid his respects.

"My sincere condolences to my brother Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi and his family on the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi," Sheikh Mohamed said.

"I pray they are granted patience and solace during these difficult and trying times. May he rest in peace."

Sharjah Ruler's Court

The Court of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourned the death of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who passed away on Thursday, in the United Kingdom.

The Court expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and Al Qawasims praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise and to grant patience and solace to his family.

Official mourning was also announced, and the UAE flag will be flown half-mast in the Emirate of Sharjah for three days beginning from the time of arrival of the deceased's body and performing the funeral prayer.

Condolences will be accepted via telephone through numbers that will be assigned and announced later.

Ajman  Ruler's Court

The Court of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, mourned the death of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who passed away on Thursday.

Official mourning was also announced, and the UAE flag will be flown half-mast in the Emirate of Ajman for three days beginning from the time of arrival of the deceased's body and performing the funeral prayer.

Sheikhs offer condolences to H.H. Ruler of Sharjah

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, each shared their condolences to the Al Qasimi family on Twitter.

"My sincere condolences to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi on the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. We ask God to have mercy on him and accommodate him in his spacious gardens [in heaven] and to grant his family patience and solace", said Sheikh Hamdan.
