His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has made an important announcement to ensure that 700 Emirati citizens will be hired in the emirate’s government by the end of 2025.

Additionally, His Highness approved promotions for 1,523 employees within the government. These promotions, which include job advancements and special financial awards, will come at an annual expense of AED 22 million. Moreover, 254 employees who earned new qualifications, such as PhDs, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degrees, will have their statuses adjusted, costing AED 8,420,803. The benefits for these employees will start from the time they obtained their new degrees.

Since the beginning of this year, 1,585 Emiratis have already been employed across various cities and regions in the emirate. 

On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan has announced a new grant to help families in the emirate live better. This program will provide financial assistance to 3,162 families with two or more members who are registered with the department. The goal is to help these families increase their monthly income to AED 17,500, which is seen as a reasonable standard of living.

His Highness recently announced plans to build a new "Social Care Complex" in the Al Ruwaidat area. This complex will bring together several important facilities all in one place. It will include a center to protect and support women, a home for the elderly, a mental health facility, and a care home for children.
