Sultan Al Qasimi opens mosque of martyr Sultan Al Ketbi in Al Dhaid

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, and Ruler of Sharjah on Monday opened the mosque of the martyr Sultan Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi "May Allah bless him ",in the Al Taiba area , Al Dhaid City, in the presence of the martyr’s sons and relatives, notables and the people of the central region.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah toured the different parts of the Mosque and viewed its various facilities, which was built with the characteristic architectural styles of Fatimid mosques, and can accommodate 1850 worshippers.

Being built on a total area of 1830 square metres, the mosque flanked with 72 -metre-tall minaret. The new Mosque’s construction costs are estimated at AED 21.5 million.

The mosque bears the name of the martyr Sultan Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi "May Allah bless him ", who was martyred in 2015 while performing his national duty as part of the Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen, underlining the most magnificent images of sacrifice and heroism in serving his religion and country.

On this occasion, the families of the martyr expressed their appreciation for the efforts of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, in light of the attention given to the families of martyrs.
